Position Overview :
We are seeking an experienced Cook with specialist skills in pastries, breads, desserts, and the preparation of authentic Middle Eastern and Asian cuisine. This is a key role in our kitchen to maintain food quality and authenticity, and to support the training of junior staff.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare, cook, and present Middle Eastern, Asian, and other dishes on the menu.
* Prepare pastries, breads, and desserts for catering and menu service.
* Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet company standards.
* Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in all food preparation areas in compliance with food safety regulations.
* Assist in developing and improving menu items and recipes.
* Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, especially in baking and pastry-making techniques.
* Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and storage of supplies.
* Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service and customer satisfaction.
Essential Skills and Experience:
* Proven experience in pastry, bakery, and dessert preparation.
* Demonstrated expertise in Middle Eastern and Asian cuisine, including knowledge of traditional recipes and techniques.
* Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced kitchen environment.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Salary: $76,515-$80,000
