About the role
This position is for a Clinical Psychologist or Neuropsychologist who can teach at Masters and Doctoral level clinical psychology programs with a passion for learning and teaching and a keen interest in contributing to community engagement for teaching and employability.
Responsibilities — Lecturer (Education-focused)
- Lead unit teams, design inclusive and innovative curricula, assessments, and learning experiences that integrate industry and research practice.
- Provide academic guidance, foster accessible learning environments, and ensure timely, constructive feedback to enhance student success.
- Contribute to pedagogical research, publish findings, and integrate new teaching innovations to improve graduate outcomes and employability.
- Build teaching capability, mentor junior colleagues, and complete formal qualifications like the Graduate Certificate in Higher Education Learning and Teaching.
- Support strategic initiatives, participate in community engagement, and contribute to professional innovation, especially for those with industry or clinical backgrounds.

- Lead unit and course teams in designing inclusive, industry-informed, and research-driven curricula, assessments, and learning experiences across diverse delivery modes.
- Provide academic support, enhance student services, and ensure accessible learning environments that foster engagement and achievement.
- Champion educational excellence, mentor colleagues, build teaching capability, and lead moderation and refinement of teaching practices.
- Lead and contribute to discipline-based pedagogical research, publish innovations, and build a national/international reputation in teaching scholarship.
- Drive strategic initiatives, represent the university in professional forums, and lead community engagement and industry-linked educational innovation.
To be successful you’ll have — Lecturer
- PhD in a relevant discipline and/or other relevant qualifications and experience.
- Excellent record of scholarly learning and teaching in UG and/or PG programs, including innovative curriculum design.
- Emerging reputation in research and scholarship through publications and/or exhibitions and/or success in obtaining external research funding.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to establish positive working relationships with colleagues.
- Experience supervising clinical masters and fourth-year research thesis projects.
- Registered psychologist (AHPRA) with an area of practice endorsement in clinical psychology or clinical neuropsychology Essential
To be successful you’ll have — Senior Lecturer
- PhD in a relevant discipline and/or advanced qualifications and experience in the relevant discipline area.
- Excellent record of scholarly learning and teaching in PG clinical or professional psychology programs, including innovative curriculum design and research supervision, using different ways of engaging with students (lectures, seminars, workshops, intensives) and different methods of delivery (face-to-face and online).
- Evidence of leadership in scholarly learning and teaching in undergraduate and/or post graduate programs, including innovative curriculum design and education development.
- University wide reputation in the scholarship of learning and teaching underpinned by publications in quality journals and/or conference presentations and/or success in obtaining funding for education innovation.
- Registered psychologist (AHPRA) with an area of practice endorsement in clinical psychology or clinical neuropsychology Essential
