Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to work in Rehabilitation Services Unit at the Mersey Community Hospital, a dedicated 12 bed sub-acute facility.

The Team:

The Rehabilitation Services Unit at the Mersey Community Hospital is a dedicated 12-bed sub-acute facility committed to delivering exceptional rehabilitation care to patients across the North-West region.

The Rehabilitation Service Unit consists of a highly skilled and knowledgeable multidisciplinary team, dedicated to enhancing our patients functional and cognitive abilities to enhance their independence and improve quality of life post injury or illness. We use an individualised patient centred approach that aims to meet the goals and outcomes mutually identified by the individual, their family, and therapy staff.

The Role:

As a Registered Nurse in our Rehabilitation Unit, you will be responsible for:

* Delivering compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to patients with complex rehabilitation needs
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualised care plans
* Provide education and support to patients and their families
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of excellence
* Engage in ongoing professional development and leadership opportunities

You will need:

* A minimum of 2 years nursing experience,
* Proven experience working in an In-Charge capacity
* flexibility to work across morning, afternoon and night shifts
* Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Details of appointment:

Permanent part time, shift worker position, working up to 48 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as we can onboard you.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $80,524 to $109,175 pro rata per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

* Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

Access to the Grade 4 salary range $102,439 - $109,175 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4.

In addition, the following allowances calculated salaried incremental point may be available:

* Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type

Salary Packaging:

You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

* Remote and Rural Professional Development Allowance of an additional salary allowance of 4%

Benefits available to eligible candidates:

* Travel and relocation assistance support available up to $10,000 for appointees from interstate.
