About the role
As our Bar Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our bar operations at the Warren & District United Services Club Ltd in Warren, NSW. In this full-time role, you will lead a team of bar staff to ensure exceptional customer service and efficient bar management, contributing to the overall success of our hospitality business.
What you'll be doing
1. Manage the day-to-day operations of the bar, including staff scheduling, inventory control, and ensuring compliance with liquor licensing regulations
2. Train, develop and motivate the bar team to deliver outstanding customer service
3. Oversee the bar's financial performance, including managing budgets, cash handling, and reporting
4. Implement and monitor effective bar procedures and policies to optimise efficiency and profitability
5. Oversee stock ordering and control, ensuring sufficient stock on hand at all times
6. Collaborate with the management team to develop and execute marketing strategies to drive increased bar sales
7. Continuously seek ways to enhance the customer experience and identify opportunities for improvement
8. Ensure the bar area is well-maintained, clean, and adheres to all health and safety regulations
What we're looking for
1. Proven track record of successfully leading and motivating a team to deliver exceptional customer service
2. Excellent knowledge of bar operations, including inventory management, purchasing, and cost control
3. Strong financial management skills, with the ability to analyse data and implement cost-saving measures
4. Ability to work nights, weekends and public holidays
5. Proficient in using point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory management software
6. Thorough understanding of liquor licensing laws and regulations
7. Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills
