Telecommunications Specialist Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Specialist to join our team. As a Telecommunications Specialist, you will be responsible for installing, commissioning, and maintaining wireless network equipment including mobile/satellite small cell sites, 4G/5G base stations, hybrid feeder systems, fibre and microwave transmission, and DC power systems.
You will also install Telstra Satellite Small Cell Sites with Solar, read and interpret drawings and design documentation, test and commission all relevant equipment, diagnose and repair faults, assist with mobile/satellite small cells construction and remote repeater installations, complete on-site surveys, and prepare technical documentation.
This role requires strong knowledge of RF systems and antennas, a White Card, and a current Driver's Licence. You must also be able to work safely and independently in remote areas and be willing to travel across the region.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of RF systems and antennas, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in remote areas. They must also be willing to adapt to changing situations.
Key Responsibilities:

* Documentation and Planning: Read and interpret drawings and design documentation, and prepare technical documentation.
* Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose and repair faults, and assist with mobile/satellite small cells construction and remote repeater installations.
Requirements:
* Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of RF systems and antennas.
* Licenses and Certifications: White Card and current Driver's Licence.
* Work Environment: Ability to work safely and independently in remote areas.
* Travel: Willingness to travel across the region, including remote sites and islands.
