The Townsville Cancer Centre (TCC) Medical Director is responsible for leading and managing a team of medical staff within the TCC, aiming to achieve the vision of the Townsville Hospital and Health Services to increase the health and wellbeing of the community through safe, effective, and sustainable care.
The Medical Director will be a practicing clinician, maintaining a clinical caseload negotiated with the Service Group Director and Chief Medical Officer. Responsibilities include medical workforce planning, management, development, education, training, research, and leadership development.

* Salary range: $100.78 - $127.77 p.h. (L18-L27)
* 5 weeks annual leave (pro rata) with 17.5% loading
* Professional Development allowance and leave

* General Attraction and Retention (25-50% of base wage)
* 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
* Current registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist, with relevant qualifications
* Advanced management skills qualification is highly desirable
* Travel within Queensland, including possible small aircraft travel, is required
* Operation of a class C motor vehicle with appropriate license endorsement is required
* All applicants must hold SoCP approval from the THHS Credentialing and SoCP committee, with ongoing maintenance
* Participation in on-call rostering is required
