What’s on Offer Contract role to commence ASAP; 3 months with possible extension; City fringe location – close to public transport; Competitive hourly rate; and Monday to Friday, with rostered shifts between 7:45 am and 10:00 pm. The Role You will deliver exceptional administrative support and ensure a seamless experience for patients, clinicians, and hospital staff. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate patient appointments and follow-ups using Genie practice management software; Manage incoming phone and email enquiries, ensuring accurate and timely responses to patients, referring doctors, and healthcare professionals; Prepare and process medical correspondence, reports, referrals, and other clinical documentation with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality; Liaise with hospital departments, allied health professionals, and insurers to facilitate smooth patient journeys; Maintain and update patient records in accordance with privacy requirements and hospital policies; and Assist in practice billing, processing Medicare and health fund claims efficiently through Genie software. About You To be considered for this assignment, you will have the following skill set: Proven experience as a Medical Secretary or in a similar administrative role within healthcare; Essential working knowledge of Genie practice management software; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with patients and medical staff; Strong attention to detail, multitasking ability, and problem-solving skills; Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a busy hospital setting; and Must be able to work shifts Monday to Friday between 745am and 10pm.
