Design and Technology Assistant Role
This is a part-time position commencing Term 4, 2025. The role involves preparing classrooms and workshops for effective student instruction.
* Key Responsibilities:
o Prepare technical equipment and materials for design and technology workshops, classes, and demonstrations.
o Maintain, evaluate, and assess technical equipment, carry out repairs, and arrange off-site repairs.
o Order supplies and equipment, liaise with suppliers, negotiate prices, and ensure adequate supplies are maintained.
Selection Criteria:
* Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and experience in operating technical/industrial equipment within a design and technology workshop or similar environment.
* Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Work Health and Safety Act 2020 and its application in industrial environments.
* Demonstrated knowledge of Design and Technology subjects relevant to secondary schools.
* Demonstrated good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to deal effectively with individuals at all levels.
* Demonstrated organisational and time management skills, and ability to work independently.

* Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
