The Role
Peninsula Grammar School is seeking dedicated and responsible individuals to join our team as Part‐Time Boarding House Supervisors. In this role, you will play an important part in supporting the safety, wellbeing, and development of boarding students, helping to create a welcoming, structured environment that fosters both personal growth and academic success.
The Boarding House is a safe, caring, and supportive home‐away‐from‐home for students in Years 8–12 from Australia and around the world, building on the School's proud boarding tradition since 1962. Working as part of a collaborative team, Boarding Supervisors support students through daily routines, shared meals, supervised study, activities, and excursions, while promoting independence, resilience, kindness, and respect.
This role is suited to both experienced boarding professionals and those seeking an opportunity to begin their journey in a boarding environment, including early‐career candidates, pre‐service teachers, and learning support staff.
This is a part-time position (during the boarding house operating period during school terms and the Term 3 school holiday break ), offering a minimum of 16 hours per week. There will also be opportunities for additional shifts, including occasional sleepover shifts.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide supervision and pastoral care for boarding students during evening and weekend shifts
* Support the daily routines, including meals, study sessions, and recreational activities
* Implementing and enforcing boarding house rules and regulations
* Build positive relationships with students, acting as a mentor and role model
* Ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive living environment
* Collaborating with other staff members to provide holistic care for boarding students
* Respond to student needs and assist with any issues that arise
* Ensuring the cleanliness and tidiness of the boarding house facilities

* Current VIT or Working with Children Check and Police Check (or willingness to apply
* First Aid, Asthma & Anaphylaxis Management, CPR Training - Current or willing to complete
