About the Role We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, Program Director to lead and oversee the successful delivery of a major fibre optic rollout project, to drive the program forward and provide critical oversight and implementation of strong governance to ensure we can scale up and meet our target. This is an 12-month fixed term opportunity to lead SMAP program for an individual with proven ability to govern large-scale complex programs and strong leadership skill to drive the program to completion with strong governance and focus on KPI management on program performance. *This position can be based in Melbourne or Brisbane* Role Responsibilities Execute the governance framework established by the Head of PMO, ensuring compliance with policies, standards, and best practices. Govern the program time quality and budget against target, ensuring alignment with our contractual obligations, regulatory compliance, and strategic priorities. Provide structured program oversight to ensure accountability, effective decision-making, and risk mitigation. Implement robust performance monitoring mechanisms to assess overall portfolio health. Track key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring the program stays on schedule, within budget, and meets quality expectations. Analyse and report program progress to stakeholders and senior leadership. Provide strong leadership to a multidisciplinary team, ensuring alignment across all work streams. Drive the SMAP program to completion while managing complex interdependencies and resource constraints. Proactively address challenges, ensuring the program delivers measurable outcomes and benefits. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful program delivery. Effectively communicate progress, risks, and opportunities to all relevant parties. About You Demonstrated expertise in governing programs at the portfolio level, with the ability to align multiple projects under a cohesive governance structure. Experienced in providing strong portfolio and program leadership and managing cross-functional teams. Proven ability to motivate and guide teams to achieve program objectives. Strong analytical skills with the ability to monitor portfolio health, track performance, and report on key metrics. Experience in identifying and mitigating risks to ensure program success. Telco experience in delivering large scale and complex fibre infrastructure preferred. Experience working with PMO frameworks and governance structures.
