The Role
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Store Person to join our Engineering & Maintenance team based in Pakenham. This role plays a critical part in supporting site operations by ensuring accurate inventory management and timely availability of spare parts to minimise downtime and support production efficiency.
Working closely with the Engineering & Maintenance Manager and wider team, you will be responsible for maintaining spare parts inventory, coordinating with suppliers, managing purchase orders, and supporting workshop operations. You will also respond to urgent breakdown requirements, ensuring critical parts are sourced and delivered efficiently.
This is a hands-on role requiring strong organisation, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively across teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
The Person
To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience working in a stores or inventory role, ideally within an engineering or FMCG environment. A forklift licence is essential, along with strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
You will demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent time management, and the ability to manage competing priorities. With a proactive and self-motivated approach, you will be comfortable working closely with suppliers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure operational efficiency.
A trade or engineering-related background is highly regarded, along with experience using inventory systems (e.g. M3, Mex or similar CMMS platforms). Strong communication skills and a commitment to safety and quality are essential.
