Could you be the Contracts Manager based in our Perth office that we're looking for in our Digital & Integrated Systems Contracts Management team?
**Your future role**:
Alstom has an opportunity for a Contracts Manager based in the Perth, WA office. Reporting to the Senior Project Contracts Manager, you will support and work in close collaboration with the BHP Rail Technology Program
core project team. You will provide guidance and leadership to develop, implement, and drive proactive contract/claim management and risk mitigation strategies in accordance with Alstom's business objectives, including extensions of time, variations orders and contract amendments As well as this you'll ensure proper record keeping and file preparation in support of robust claim files.
**We'll look to you for**:
- Preparation of the Contract Management Strategy Plan with the core project team
- Undertaking careful analysis of the contract to build and drive implementation of Contract/Claim Management Strategy Plan, as well as keep it updated with project team on quarterly basis
- Establishing and implementation of project specific commercial procedures, particularly regarding correspondences, notifications, insurance, variation requests/orders and claims preparation files
- Developing a pragmatic commercial approach based on contractual analysis of the project, to protect Alstom interests toward customers and partners
**All about you**:
- Tertiary degree in Law, Quantity Surveying, Business or Commerce
- An expert in contract and upstream & downstream claims management and proven background
- Proven background in the management of head contracts on rail, signalling or infrastructure projects
- Sound understanding of project financials and impact of contract/claim management on project's profitability
- Ability to lead and mentor teams to drive the desired outcomes
- Extensive knowledge of Contract Management and Project Management tools and systems
