Edit and deliver high-quality video content for Nine News programs using AVID Media Composer, collaborating with editorial teams in a fast-paced newsroom.
Your role
Responsibilities
* Editing material for Nine News broadcasts, including voiceovers, grabs, overlay, and packages, as well as feature-style content for news, current affairs, online, and streaming platforms.
* Compiling vision for archive and ensuring edited material is delivered correctly and on time.
* Escalating potential technical problems to the Supervisor or engineering team in a timely manner.
* Ensuring all edited material meets high technical standards and is delivered within strict deadlines.
* Working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Being available to work a rotating roster based in the office, including weekends, early starts, and late finishes.
* Collaborating closely with editorial stakeholders to produce high-calibre content.
About you
Qualifications
* Tertiary qualifications or equivalent professional experience in media, TV production, or communications.
* Proficiency in editing software; AVID Media Composer experience is a plus, but not required.
* Technical knowledge of media file formats and compression codecs.
* Dedication, professionalism, flexibility, and a proactive "can-do" approach with a positive attitude.
* A genuine desire to build a long-term career in television broadcasting and streaming.
* A keen interest in news, sport, and current affairs.
* The right to lawfully work and live in Australia.
