Job Description:
This position involves teaching and instructing students in a primary, junior or intermediate setting. As an Indigenous Language Instructor, you will be responsible for implementing the Ontario curriculum while incorporating the principles of Catholic Education and the Seven Grandfather teachings.
Responsibilities:
* Teach and instruct students in various subjects, focusing on Indigenous language and culture.
* Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners.
* Incorporate technology to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
* Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver cohesive curriculum.
* Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
Requirements:
1. Hold a valid certification from the Ontario College of Teachers.
2. Have primary/junior/intermediate qualifications.
3. Possess knowledge of Indigenous language and culture.
4. Be fluent in Ojibwe, both oral and written.
5. Demonstrate ability to implement a shared vision consistent with Catholic Education principles.
