NPI Operator
Location: Port Hedland, Western Australia, Australia.
Reporting to the NPI Supervisor, this permanent full‑time role operates on a FIFO 8:6 roster of dayshift from Perth. The primary purpose of the NPI Operator is to execute works associated with general repairs and maintenance around all non‑processing infrastructure (camps accommodation, site offices and utilities).
Key Responsibilities
- Complete daily maintenance activities to achieve the maintenance plan as directed by the NPI Supervisor.
- Apply knowledge of seasonal gardening, retic repairs, lawn care and minor building maintenance.
- Execute maintenance work on all non‑processing infrastructure, including camp accommodation and bore/pumps.
- Ensure all work orders are completed properly to a consistent high quality in PRONTO.
- Conduct daily documented safety inspections of work areas and manage identified hazards.
- Apply risk management practices consistently for all work activities.
- Maintain personal and team safety, following all safety instructions and reporting hazards and incidents promptly.
- Participate with work teams to improve and sustain a positive safety culture.
About You
- WA C‑class driver’s licence.
- Knowledge of statutory safety requirements relevant to the processes.
- Systematic planning skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment.
- Familiarity with maintenance management systems.
- Strong commitment to safety and the workplace.
Desirable
- Current proficiency in Providing First Aid.
- High‑risk licences (Forklift, Hiab, Confined space).
- HR / MR licence.
- PRONTO experience.
