What you’ll do
The Packaging Optimisation Manager oversees all aspects of the Pinnacle domestic wine portfolio including but not limited to packaging guidelines for new product development (including sustainable packaging); conformance to Packaging Matrix guidelines and management of existing portfolio; and ongoing reviews of brand performance and inventory management for finished goods and dry goods.
In addition, you will:
1. New Product Development (NPD) Involvement to ensure adherence to packaging matrix and sustainable packaging guidelines for all new products.
2. Work closely with the NPD team to provide assistance for Pinnacle wine NPD, focusing on pack formats and locations.
3. Identify, analyse, and implement packaging optimisation opportunities through effective stakeholder engagement and review processes.
4. Monitor and manage the Packaging Matrix in collaboration with key stakeholders, capturing cost and sustainability improvements for all new products.
5. Review Pinnacle bottling runs, ensuring compliance with scheduling guidelines and appropriate job allocation to sites.
6. Identify suitable SKUs for production at various bottling sites, ensuring accurate NPD and job setup. Conduct in-depth analysis of existing at production sites.
7. Lead and manage off site co packing process and requirements.

Ideally you will demonstrate the following:
8. Knowledge and experience in packaging, preferably with an optimisation focus
9. Manufacturing and FMCG experience, exposure to the wine industry will be highly regarded
