Design and build companies require skilled professionals to manage the full estimating and contracts administration process on residential projects. A successful estimator/contract administrator will be responsible for analysing architectural plans, specifications, and other project documentation to develop accurate cost estimates.
* Analyse architectural plans, specifications, and other project documentation to develop accurate cost estimates
* Prepare detailed quantity take-offs, material pricing, and labour estimates for various trades and scopes of work
* Prepare, review, and administer contracts, including subcontractor agreements, purchase orders, and variations
* Assist in the procurement process by obtaining quotes, negotiating contracts, and selecting suitable suppliers
* Monitor project costs, track variations, and provide accurate and timely reports on project financials
* Manage progress claims, invoicing, and ensure timely payment to subcontractors and suppliers
The ideal candidate will have a minimum three years' experience as a estimator/contract administrator across architecturally designed residential projects. They will have strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and detailing, excellent attention to detail, and proficiency using Procore software.
