ABOUT THE ROLE:
As the Head Chef you will be responsible for all Kitchen operations.
* Day to day leadership and operation of the kitchen
* Working with the Executive Chef, Venue Manager, Marketing team to promote our food offerings and identify areas for growth
* Mentoring, teaching, developing and leading your team members, building a culture where every staff member is valued
* Ensuring the kitchens comply with health regulations and are clean, tidy and functional at all times
* Costed menu writing and a flair for creativity
* Stock control/purchasing aligned to budgets and procedures
* Operation and financial control within set department budgets
* Kitchen roster management and day-to day people management of your team
ABOUT YOU:
* Must have experience as a Head Chef or similar leadership role within a high-volume food environment.
* Exceptional culinary skills, with a strong understanding of food preparation techniques and presentation.
* A passion for using locally sourced seafood and seasonal ingredients, with a creative flare for menu development.
* Strong leadership and team management abilities, with excellent communication skills.
* Must be experienced in managing food costs, inventory, and kitchen operations.
