Broome Regional Aboriginal Medical Service (BRAMS) is a well-established Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation that has been supporting the Broome community for over 40 years. Headquartered in Broome, Western Australia, BRAMS provides holistic, culturally safe primary healthcare, aged care, and community programs to Aboriginal people throughout the Kimberley region.

Your Next Role – Shape the Future of Aboriginal Health
BRAMS is seeking multiple Aboriginal Health Practitioners and Aboriginal Enrolled Nurses for full-time roles based in Broome, WA. These roles span both Primary Healthcare and Aged & Disability Services, depending on your experience and interests.
You will work as part of a culturally secure, multidisciplinary team, delivering clinical support, preventative health, care coordination and cultural advocacy for Aboriginal people across the life course.
Responsibilities
Deliver culturally safe clinical care aligned with BRAMS Model of Care
Conduct assessments, health checks, chronic disease support, and recall activities
Support care coordination and implementation of care plans
Perform delegated clinical tasks such as wound care, screening, and medication support
Visit homes and community settings to promote independence and wellness
Collaborate with GPs, nurses, allied health, and community teams
Promote early engagement, cultural connection and self-management
Support quality improvement, clinical audits and service evaluations
Eligibility
These are Identified Positions; applicants must be of Aboriginal and / or Torres Strait Islander descent, as permitted under Section 50(d) of the Equal Opportunity Act **** (WA).
Qualifications
To qualify, you must identify as Aboriginal and / or Torres Strait Islander and hold one of the following:
Certificate IV in Aboriginal and / or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care (Practice) and current AHPRA registration as an Aboriginal Health Practitioner
Diploma of Nursing with AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse
Experience working in clinical, community, aged care, or disability settings is welcomed but not essential. Graduates are highly encouraged to apply, with on-the-job support and mentoring provided.

Understanding of chronic disease management, aged care, or disability needs
Knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards, NDIS Practice Standards, or RACGP guidelines
Experience working in home environments and supporting care plans
Previous work in Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations (ACCHOs)
Familiarity with care software such as MMEx or Sandwai
