Job Description
We are seeking a seasoned engineering manager to lead our teams in developing and optimizing Ubuntu for cutting-edge hardware platforms. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your technical expertise and management skills to drive innovation and excellence within our organization.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in software development, with experience in leading cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions. You will be responsible for overseeing the development lifecycle, from conception to delivery, and ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and reliability.
This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as you will work closely with engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration and effective decision-making.
You will also be expected to stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, identifying opportunities for innovation and growth, and developing strategies to capitalize on them.
In addition to your technical expertise, you will possess exceptional leadership and project management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire your team to achieve outstanding results.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field;
* At least 5 years of experience in software development, with a focus on leadership and team management;
* Proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions on time and within budget;
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
* Strong understanding of Linux and operational systems software;
* Experience with Debian/Ubuntu or other distro packaging;
* Fluency in C, C++, and Python programming languages;
* Ability to travel internationally for company events and meetings.
