Are you an experienced Product Manager with a passion for leading high-impact projects in complex environments? Our client, a leading Defence organisation, is seeking a driven and strategic Product Manager to oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of key capability products at RAAF Base Williamtown .
This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing team delivering mission-critical solutions in support of Australia’s defence capability.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the planning and execution of product roadmaps, aligning with strategic objectives and capability outcomes.
* Manage product/project scope, risks, schedules, resources, and budgets with precision and accountability.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery across all Fundamental Inputs to Capability (FIC).
* Conduct comprehensive cost analyses to optimise resource allocation and financial performance.
* Drive commercial contract negotiations, ensuring compliance and favourable terms for all parties.
* Engage internal and external stakeholders with confidence, fostering alignment and transparent communication.
* Mentor and guide junior team members with subject matter expertise.
You’ll Bring:
* Proven success in product management or project delivery in large, complex environments—ideally within Defence, Aerospace, or similar industries.
* Strong capabilities in contract and cost management, with an ability to deliver on time and on budget.
* High-level stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
* A structured approach to risk, issues, and opportunity management.
* Experience working with Defence frameworks such as the One Defence Capability System, PPRIP, SPMS, and iPMP is highly desirable.
