About The Role
We seek Residential Services Assistants to work in Care Communities and Sub Acute sites.
This role involves working independently in the Care Community kitchen, preparing meals and delivering them according to residents' dietary needs.
Our organization has multiple Care Communities and Sub Acute sites, with successful applicants receiving paid training across several sites.
A commitment of 2 shifts per week is required, and living in the region is necessary.
We use an electronic rostering system to manage the Casual Bank, operating 7 days a week.
Key Responsibilities
1. Maintaining availability in the electronic rostering system and accepting shifts accordingly.
2. Setting up kitchens and dining areas for food service.
3. Preparing and serving meals based on individual dietary needs.
4. Ensuring safe food handling and maintaining records.
5. Maintaining a safe and welcoming dining environment.
6. Cleaning and laundry duties as applicable.
7. Working effectively within a team.
8. Participating in annual performance reviews.
9. Committing to ongoing mandatory education.
Required Skills and Qualifications
1. Current HLTFSE001 - Follow Basic Food Handling Practices certificate or willingness to obtain.
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
3. Ability to prioritize tasks.
4. Ability to work independently.
5. Person-centred and respectful approach to care.
6. Current NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain.
7. Previous experience is preferred but not essential.
