We have opportunities available for Aerodrome Reporting & Compliance Officers to join our Defence division and support this contract. This position is based at RAAF Tindal and open to anyone that is interested - we are covering the costs of training and organising course sessions for our new team These roles are starting just prior to when operations for this contract commences on 1st February 2026, with training expected to start in January.
About the role
You will be responsible for the oversight and provision of day-to-day operational control, compliance and reporting to ensure compliance with DASR / MOS 139 and the AO services plan.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Conducting inspections and maintaining reporting and documentation to support airbase operability and certification.
* Managing Aerodrome data updates, aircraft manifests, NOTAMs, and OLS impacts, CASA, and Defence protocols.
* Coordinating AO maintenance and liaising with BST providers for safe operations.
* Supporting internal and external audits to ensure regulatory compliance.
* Investigating incidents and security breaches, reporting outcomes to Aerodrome Operators.
* Conducting hazard inspections and manage wildlife, environmental, and maintenance risks.
* Baggage and aircraft loading assistance as required and in compliance with the relevant SOP.
* Managing of pedestrian and vehicle movements, including escorting duties.
* Supporting air terminal operations including customer service, passenger and aircrew support, operation of Defence screening equipment in accordance with the relevant SOP.
About you
Our ideal candidate will have:
* Prior experience in a similar role would be ideal, alternatively a interest in aviation and/or compliance.
* Certification as an Aerodrome Reporting Officer (ARO) and Aerodrome Works Safety Officer (WSO) would be highly regarded (as mentioned we will pay for your training if you don't have this).
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team, having an appreciation of organisation needs and values.
* Skilled in problem-solving and implementing corrective actions.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
You must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
