Role Summary
NextOre is seeking a Geosciences Advisor to support our growing client base through pre-sales technical analysis and advisory services, implementation planning and Business Development planning. This client-facing role requires technical depth and commercial awareness. The successful candidate will help develop customer understanding of the value-added that NextOre can deliver and thereby increase uptake of our technology.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide expert technical evaluation of potential customer operations to assess the applicability and expected impact of NextOre's solutions.
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to interpret and model metal ore bodies in relation to sensor performance and bulk sorting benefits.
* Participate in site visits to collect information and interact with clients, and thereafter act as a technical interface between the client technical team and NextOre's commercial and product teams.
* Represent NextOre at technical conferences, industry events, and customer meetings.
* Generate tailored modelling outputs and visualisations for opportunity pursuits.
* Support commercial teams with client orebody qualification, proposal development, technical presentations, and site visit preparation.
* Track client interactions, project opportunities, and support activities using CRM tools.
* Business Development support, including maintaining standard publicity collateral, maintaining registers for upcoming conferences, trade shows and speaking engagements, periodic review of industry information, and support global NextOre personnel.
Required Qualifications and Experience Mandatory
* Degree in Geology or related Earth Sciences from a recognised institution.
* Postgraduate industry experience of 2–5 years gained in site-based technical or client-facing service provider roles.
* Experience in orebody resource modelling using industry-standard tools and practices.
* Strong data analysis, technical report-writing and techno-economic communication skills.
* Knowledge of mine operations covering grade control, operations planning and execution, through to mine/mill interactions.
* Business / Economics or marketing qualifications.
* Understanding of Business Development techniques, processes and tasks.
* Understanding of mineral processing workflows.
* Financial or operational benefit analyses integrating geological and metallurgical models.
* Ability to program in general computer languages such as Python.
* Exposure to multicultural and remote business settings.
* Experience in modern cloud-based collaborative working environments; proficiency in MS Teams and MS SharePoint is required.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – verbal, written, and visual – to successfully work with technical and non-technical stakeholders in varied cultural settings.
* Proficiency in digital tools for modelling, data analysis, and presentation.
* Interest in the economic drivers of mining operations, the business impact of technical decisions and how to communicate these.
* Ability to rapidly understand the key aspects of a potential client and their operation as relates to a NextOre opportunity.
* Ability to translate complex geological and metallurgical information into clear, actionable insights for operational and financial decision-making.
* Comfortable working autonomously and across cross-functional teams.
* Multilingual capability (Spanish and/or Portuguese) is a strong advantage.
* Ability to travel outside of Sydney for up to 30% of the time.
