Family Violence Solicitor - MilduraPay: $95-$109K + super (salary packaging available under the EA)Location: Mildura (Relocation required if not already local)Employment Type: Full-time or 0.8 FTE (35 hours per week), 9am-5pm

Tradewind Australia is partnering with a well-regarded integrated community services and community legal service in Mildura to recruit an experienced Family Violence Solicitor. This role offers meaningful, community-focused work supporting vulnerable individuals across the region through early-intervention and trauma-informed practice.

About the Role

As a Family Violence Solicitor, you will provide legal advice, casework and court representation with a strong focus on family violence. Working within an integrated practice, you will collaborate with social workers, maternal and child health teams, family violence specialists and partner agencies to deliver coordinated and holistic support.

You will also contribute to the Mabels Program, engage in community legal education across the Mallee region, and participate in data reporting, reflective practice and multidisciplinary team processes.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide legal advice, casework and court representation, with a focus on family violence
* Work within an integrated practice alongside social workers, MCH teams and partner agencies
* Support early-intervention referrals from maternal health services through the Mabels Program
* Deliver community legal education and strengthen stakeholder relationships across the Mallee region
* Participate in reviews, data reporting and reflective practice within a multidisciplinary team

What You'll Bring

Essential

* Minimum 2 years' post-admission experience (role not suitable for new graduates)
* Experience in family violence or family law, grounded in a trauma-informed approach
* Ability to work collaboratively within an integrated, multidisciplinary service
* Strong communication skills and confidence managing sensitive client matters

Desirable

* Candidates from diverse backgrounds encouraged; overseas applicants welcome (no sponsorship available)
