Business Development Professional

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Business Development Professional to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for achieving sales volume, margin, and product group objectives.

Main Responsibilities:

* You will take ownership of the region's growth and retention strategy, including volume targets and margin setting, strategic customer planning, and implementing a structured call cycle and sales pipeline.
* Maintain a high level of customer-focused activity by serving key customers on the road as much as possible.
* Deliver market-leading service and support to Elgas' high-value commercial customers in your region.
* Identify, develop, and commercialize new customers to Elgas through self-generated business development efforts.
* Skillfully move customers through the sales process by selling the value of Elgas, utilizing negotiation and objection handling skills to navigate a win-win outcome for Elgas and the customer.
* Collaborate closely with local branch staff, fellow sales team members across QLD, and industry stakeholders to build a supporting network.
* Maintain relevant data in our system and produce coherent reports that demonstrate your knowledge and strategic plan for your region.

What You Will Enjoy Doing:

1. You will take initiative and work independently with excellent time management skills and minimum supervision.
2. You will have a strong desire to serve customers, motivation to deliver a high level of daily activity, and a passion for sales.
3. You will enjoy being out of the office in front of people and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
4. You will be empowered to 'do the deal' and have a clean and valid driver's license.
