We are a software product squad in Revenue NSW who maintain, enhance and build software products to support business functions. We are cross‑functionally composed with developers, BAs, QAs, Designers and Product Owners working in an agile manner to deliver value for our customers. We are currently looking for an Assistant Quality Assurance Engineer to join our squad who will plan and execute software tests, suggest changes and ensure end‑to‑end quality of our digital products. They will also support compliance monitoring, issue resolution and reporting as part of a consistent quality assurance function.
Key responsibilities
* Undertake software testing by writing and executing functional and non‑functional tests at each level
* Create test plans, test cases, test data, test status and summary reports.
* Align to acceptance criteria in designing test cases and ensuring optimal test coverage
* Execute functional, non‑functional, API, database, regression and performance tests (as applicable)
* Identify and raise defects with the squad to improve quality of software application development
* Provide support and advice with implementation of quality assurance recommendations to both external and internal stakeholders
* Assist business users in scripting and executing test cases for UAT
* Work in a predominantly scrum agile environment to provide quality assurance in a time‑bound manner
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:
* 5+ years of experience in software development
* Sound understanding of working in an agile framework like Scrum
* HP ALM
* Jira
