Senior Project Manager | AI Project Delivery | Part-Time | $900/day | 6‑Month Contract
Location: Adelaide (preferred) – hybrid with occasional on‑site customer colocation
Contract: 6‑month engagement
Rate: $900/day
Days: 3 days per week – ideally spread across 4‑5 shorter days
Start: 24 October
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a key AI‑focused project within a government environment. This part‑time contract requires someone who can quickly step in, bring structure, and confidently manage delivery in a complex and evolving landscape. You will play a critical role stabilising the programme, guiding delivery teams and ensuring clear communication and alignment across business, technical and vendor stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and oversee delivery of an AI‑driven project within a government setting
* Maintain project governance, schedules, milestones and progress reporting
* Manage risks, issues, dependencies and change processes
* Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure cohesive delivery
* Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and navigate changing priorities
Skills & Experience
* Proven background as a Senior Project Manager
* Strongly preferred: Experience delivering AI / Machine Learning initiatives
* Strongly preferred: Experience delivering government projects
* Strong stakeholder engagement, initiative and problem‑solving skills
* Resilient, adaptable and comfortable managing ambiguity
* Able to attend on‑site in Adelaide as required
