About the work unit / facility

The Adolescent Inpatient Unit and Day Service (AIUDS) is a specialised mental health service within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service. The unit provides acute care for adolescents aged 12-18 with complex mental health needs, offering both inpatient and day program support. With a multidisciplinary team and a strong focus on recovery, AIUDS delivers high-quality, youth-centred care across North Queensland.

Remuneration is $ $ per fortnight (Nurse Grade 5).

About your opportunity

This is a permanent full-time opportunity for a Registered Nurse to provide high-level care to adolescents in both inpatient and day service settings. You'll work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver recovery-focused mental health care and contribute to clinical education and service development.

Requirements

Current registration with AHPRA and Bachelor of Nursing qualification.

Evidence of vaccination against VPDs and TB screening.

Understanding of the Mental Health Act 2016 and child/youth mental health frameworks.

Ability to work all shifts, including on-call, as per roster.

Commitment to ongoing professional development and safety standards.
