About the roleWe're looking for a reliable, hands-on plant mechanic / maintenance technicianto keep our earthmoving equipment running smoothly. The role is roughly 80% general maintenance and 20% scheduled servicing, including 250-hour services and preventative maintenance.
You'll be looking after a small fleet of plant (e.g. excavators, skid steers, track loaders/diggers, attachments) with a strong focus on safety, uptime, and tidy record keeping.
Key responsibilities
* Daily/weekly preventative maintenance and inspections (pre-starts, greasing, fluids, filters, leaks)
* Scheduled servicing every 250 hours (minor services, consumables, checks, adjustments)
* Basic diagnostics and troubleshooting (hydraulics, undercarriage/track systems, cooling, electrics as relevant)
* Coordinating parts, consumables and service intervals (service logs, hours tracking, reminders)
* Minor repairs and breakdown response (and organising specialist support when needed)
* Maintaining a clean, safe workshop/service area and following site safety procedures
