In-House Web Developer – Elevate Our Website for Market Leading Menswear Brand

There are major projects you will work on in this role. You will assist Peter Jackson with building out a new customer account section using the Shopify Customer Account set up. This will involve creating custom apps, metafields and extensions to the customer account page using a combination of React/TypeScript and Shopify Liquid.
You will also work closely with external agencies to implement Click & Collect, allowing customers to purchase products on the website and pick them up in store. Lastly you will assist the marketing team with implementing a robust and powerful membership/loyalty program that has been carefully designed and needs implementation.
Required Skills:
* Problem solving skills. This is the most important skill. You will be able to find a solution no matter what the problem is.
* Strong experience with foundational technology like HTML, CSS and JavaScript
* Proven experience working with Shopify Liquid and TypeScript/React as you will need to add in Shopify Functions and extensions to the customer account pages and the checkout
* Experience working with API's and using technology like GraphQL. We have an ERP system that uses a SOAP/XML based API so that would be extremely beneficial to have experience working with various API services.
* Some PHP experience as we have internal tooling built with it.
* Working knowledge of AWS, deployment, DNS records and using Virtual Machines. We host everything on AWS and have some custom apps deployed with Railway. We connect to our ERP system via a Virtual Machine, so it is necessary to have experience working with these.
* Ability to work collaboratively with different teams in the business, such as marketing and design, and an understanding that technical tradeoffs need to be made and that the most optimal solution technically speaking may not be the right one.
* Keen eye for design. You don't need to be a designer, but it would be beneficial to have an appreciation of good UI/UX design.

* Experienced Developer: You've got a few years of experience in web development, with strong front-end and back-end skills.

* SEO Knowledge: You understand SEO best practices and can implement strategies that boost search rankings and visibility.
* Detail-Oriented & Proactive: You focus on the details and always look for ways to improve. You're not afraid to take initiative and bring fresh ideas to the table.
* Creative Problem-Solver: You're a natural problem solver who can troubleshoot issues and develop solutions quickly and efficiently.
Technical Skills:
* Proficient in Shopify for content management and plugin updates.
* Previous experience with Shopify in a eCommerce setting or 3+ years of professional experience working with React and TypeScript.
* Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP for front-end and back-end development.
* Familiarity with Figma for design collaboration and translating mockups into web pages.
* Knowledge of SEO tools like Google Analytics and Google Search Console for tracking performance and optimization.
* Comfortable working with Git or other version control systems.
