Job Description
We are looking for a skilled BI Developer to join our Adelaide team to analyse, design, and build enterprise data warehouses that deliver business reporting requirements for our clients in MS BI/Power BI/Azure tech environments, including both Power BI on-premise (Report Server) and SaaS (Power BI Service).
As a Power BI Developer, you will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and automating enterprise and customer-focused reporting solutions and interactive dashboards using the Microsoft BI/Power BI stack across Azure cloud, Power BI Service (SaaS), and Power BI Report Server (on-premise) environments. You will analyze data to identify trends and deliver actionable insights, ensuring reports meet business objectives. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders for requirement gathering, performing detailed analysis, and contributing to the design and implementation of BI deliverables that align with client reporting and analytical needs.
Qualifications
* Leveraging technical requirements and turning them into ETL code
* Data warehousing with methodologies such as 3rd Normal Form and Kimball
* Designing and developing visualisations, including business rules, interactions, and presentations
* Strong working knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle and Agile Software development (must have)
* Strong experience on the Microsoft BI Stack (SSAS, SSIS, SSRS)
* Extensive experience in Power BI dashboard and reporting, including deployment and management in both on-premise (Report Server) and SaaS (Power BI Service) environments
* Creating data visualisations compatible across multiple devices (desktop, phone, tablet etc)
* Experience in cloud-based environments, specifically Azure
* Experience working in large corporate data warehouse environments
* Tech lead experience within a consulting environment will be highly advantageous
* Experience with Databricks a bonus
* Power BI administration and supporting a BI platform, including user management, workspace configuration, security, and troubleshooting
