About the Role

Following our recent success in securing the Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) tender, MTC has exciting opportunities for experienced Employment Practitioner Team Lead to join our Employment Services team at locations across the Sydney Metropolitan Area including Bankstown, Cabramatta, Hurstville, Liverpool, Marrickville and Parramatta.

Reporting to the Regional Manager, the Employment Practitioner Team Lead will champion the growth and success of the IEA program by guiding the team in delivering high-quality, tailored case management services that help participants overcome vocational and non-vocational barriers to employment. Success in this role comes from building trust, fostering community connections and matching participants to the right opportunities.

Responsibilities

- Working with the team to drive participant acquisition initiatives
- Ensuring all service delivery aligns with IEA contractual obligations and MTC’s quality standards.
- Monitoring caseload volumes and ensure compliance is being maintained.
- Supporting the negotiation and management of wage subsidies and oversee the placement, anchoring and tracking of participants through employment outcomes.
- Developing and maintaining strategic partnerships with employers and community stakeholders.
- Onboarding, training and supporting new staff members.
- Acting as a point of escalation for team concerns and complaints, ensuring a timely resolution.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

- Lived experience or relevant experience working with people with a disability.
- Qualifications in employment or disability services are highly regarded.
- Deep understanding IEA guidelines, compliance and performance frameworks.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strength in problem-solving, conflict resolution, coaching and mentoring.
- Ability to manage conflict, influence outcomes and support challenging behaviours.
- Demonstrated cultural competence and ability to engage with diverse communities.
- Passion for inclusive employment and supporting people with disability.
- A valid, unrestricted driver’s licence.
