This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide high-level administrative and paralegal support in the management of prosecutions before Queensland Courts. The successful candidate will be part of a team that contributes to the government’s strategic objectives in areas such as workplace health and safety, electrical safety, workers’ compensation, and industrial relations regulation.What You'll DoProvide assistance to Legal Officers in managing a caseload of prosecutions.Liaise and communicate with various stakeholders including counsel, workers, employers, insurers and their legal representatives.Prepare briefs and pre-trial checklists.Arrange lay and expert witnesses for conferencing and giving evidence at hearings.Draft legal documents and correspondence for Legal Officer approval.Undertake legal research and keep internal legal education resources updated.Maintain accurate internal files and records.Assist with the preparation of internal procedures and guidelines.What You BringPrevious experience in a legal administration/support role.Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders.High attention to detail and accuracy.Commitment to privacy and confidentiality.Proficiency in Adobe and electronic file management.Intermediate to advanced word processing and data entry skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to undertake legal research.What Sets This Company ApartOur client is committed to partnering with business and industry to achieve better safety outcomes while increasing productivity.
