Lead Payroll Specialist
This is an exceptional opportunity to spearhead the payroll function with a small team, ensuring wages are processed in line with multiple awards. Key responsibilities include overseeing and ensuring accurate calculation, payment and reconciliation of employee entitlements, PAYG tax, superannuation contributions, and termination payments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee and ensure wages are processed in line with multiple awards.
* Manage all month and year end reconciliation, journals, reporting and statutory returns required.
* Monitor the performance of the payroll system and coordinate updates and ongoing maintenance and improvements as required.
* Work closely with the HR team to prepare and implement pay awards and salary increases.
* Ensure final pay is submitted within the timelines of the business.
Requirements:
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and support staff.
* Experience using a large payroll system.
* Excellent understanding of awards.
* Ability to demonstrate full understanding of the payroll process.
