Key Role in Youth Health
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team at Central Coast Local Health District. This exciting opportunity allows you to make a real difference in the lives of young people aged 12-24, providing youth-friendly, trauma-informed care that respects their individual strengths.
As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality health services to vulnerable groups, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people. You will work collaboratively with internal and external partners to ensure seamless support for our clients, leveraging your excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with young people, families, and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver clinical care within your scope of practice, including immunisations, sexual and reproductive health, chronic illness support, and treatment planning.
* Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide wraparound support for young people experiencing multiple and complex needs.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including GPs, pathology providers, and specialist medical practitioners.
Requirements
* Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Experience working with vulnerable groups, particularly Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with young people, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
* Strong organisational skills, able to manage competing priorities while maintaining high standards of care and professionalism.
