CSL (an ASX listed organisation and a leading global biotechnology company) is continuing to invest and grow. Working at Australia's largest pharmaceutical site, you will be responsible for leading, developing and implementing EHS programs, and maintaining regulatory compliance at our CSL Behring Broadmeadows site.
This role will also be partnering with the business to ensure CSL manufacturing and project activities meet high standards for environmental, health and safety management and to drive continuous improvement.
As part of the EHS team, you will report into the EHS Director at our Broadmeadows site.
Your responsibilities
* Provide leadership, knowledge and support in the diligent discharge of CSL's Work Health & Safety responsibilities and actively support management and employees to comply with requirements of site procedures and relevant EHS legislation
* Develop and deploy allocated EHS programs from the strategic plan and drive a culture of continuous improvement
* Lead the improvement of allocated EHS systems and processes
* Develop EHS specific training packages and facilitate general EHS education and communication workshops as required
* Business Partner with CSL departments and facilitate co-operation between management and employees in developing and carrying out measures to proactively identify and manage closure of EHS issues
* Facilitate incident investigation analysis and ensure identification of appropriate corrective actions
* Provide support to other EHS team members as required
Your Skills & Experience
* Bachelor's Degree preferably within the disciplines of safety, engineering or science and/or other relevant tertiary qualifications
* 8+ years in an EHS role preferably in a complex Industrial / Manufacturing / Construction environment
* Experience developing and implementing EHS Management systems and processes including proven ability to deliver practical tools and training
* Familiarity with the Regulator (Comcare) and Commonwealth WHS legislation and regulation is desirable
* Business partnering experience and the ability to bring a consultative, problem-solving mindset
* Ability to work effectively in a team setting and among multiple department functions
* Demonstrated ability to organise, prioritise, work under pressure and meet deadlines
* Proven experience in your ability to address safety and environmental concerns and implement improvements
