Trinity College is a multi-site, independent, co-educational Anglican College founded in a liberal education tradition in northern Adelaide. We provide exceptional facilities and support expert staff who have a passion for delivering outstanding service to our College Community.
Full-time vacancies exist for experienced, motivated, and enthusiastic persons to work as part of a busy team and provide support in maintaining the substantial grounds across our College.
The Role
As part of a dynamic and successful team, this position will ensure that our playing fields, surrounds, and gardens are well maintained and presented at all times. This achievement supports our College's teaching, learning, and co-curricular programs.
Our Facilities team works in accordance with our Customer Service Charter – to deliver customer-focused outcomes while limiting disruption and providing a safe environment for the College community.
Key Accountabilities Of The Role
* Deliver a high level of amenity and garden maintenance in accordance with job priorities and critical timelines
* Maintain and prepare sporting fields and surrounds to ensure that they meet the standards required by the College
* Support landscape and turf renewal projects from planning to delivery, including consumable and supply management of that project
* Conduct audits and safety checks to support maintenance programs
* Work collaboratively with others in the proactive delivery of the Customer Service Charter
What You Will Need To Succeed
* Certificate III in Turf Management or Horticulture with a demonstrated deep interest and passion for your field of expertise
* Experience in a similar role within a continuous delivery service model
* Flexible approach to working out of hours to accommodate key events, and able to work during school holidays
* Ability to work unsupervised and within a team environment, at times fast-paced, with a positive attitude
* Proactive team member with strong communication and interpersonal skills, engaging with team members and key stakeholders professionally and by Trinity College Values
* Rigorous approach to safe work practices appropriate within a school and child-care environment
* Sound irrigation knowledge
* Relevant industry ticketing and licenses, including chainsaw operation and ChemCert accreditation
* Ability to maintain emails, spreadsheets and job-tracking programs appropriately
* Willingness to undertake further coaching and training as required
* All Trinity College Staff must comply with the College's Child Safe Policy and adhere to the Child Safety Code of Conduct
* Hold a current South Australian Driver's License without restrictions
