Job Description
This is an opportunity for an experienced social worker or a recent graduate in social work to join our team and make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children and their families. As a Child Protection Caseworker, you will be responsible for assessing and responding to reports of child abuse and neglect, working with families to develop plans to keep children safe, and providing support and guidance to help them overcome difficult circumstances.
You will also have the opportunity to work collaboratively with other agencies and professionals to ensure that children receive the best possible support and care. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
As a Child Protection Caseworker, you will be expected to maintain accurate records, prepare reports and court documents, and participate in individual and group supervision. You will also be required to attend training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* A degree in Social Work or a related field (or completion of final semester/year of study)
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to work collaboratively with others
* High level of emotional intelligence and empathy
* Valid driver's license (P1 or above)
* Paid Working With Children Clearance Number
