Full time or Part time position based in Wagga Wagga
The Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS) Officer works closely with the ACVVS Coordinator to ensure the smooth operations of the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme in the Riverina region.
The scheme aims to support older people experiencing social isolation by recruiting, screening and matching volunteers who can then provide regular companionship visits to older people living in either aged care or in their own homes.
*About the Role....*
* Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to promote the ongoing success of the program
* Recruit volunteers in line with college policies and funding guidelines
* Conduct information sessions, face to face assessments and screening of volunteers
* Provide ongoing training and support to program volunteers
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date client and volunteer records
* Prepare monthly statistics and reports
About you.....
To be successful in this exciting and rewarding role you will have the following:
* Experience working with vulnerable or elderly people (or a demonstrated understanding)
* Proven interpersonal and relationship management skills
* Passion for customer service and willingness to go above and beyond
* High-level attention to detail, time management and planning abilities
* Proficiency in IT systems, including Microsoft excel and reporting
