The responsibilities of the Database Administrator include: 
Aiding in database design requirements, encompassing timeseries, logs, and audit. 
Offering expertise in configuring, building, managing, and monitoring databases. 
Investigating incidents, including performance issues. 
Conducting DB data extracts, reorganizations, refreshes, backups, and restores. 
Developing and maintaining operational documentation for the database environment. 
Providing support as an escalation point for database workplace issues. 
Assisting in the design and execution of Database Backup strategies, environment management, and business continuity plans. 
Providing counsel and direction to the project team regarding data modeling and optimal utilization of database products. 
Performing release and change management tasks. 
Undertaking other duties as necessary.
