About this role:
We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a
Food Technology Assistant
on a
part-time (0.4 FTE)
basis.
Job tasks and responsibilities:
Prepare and set up food and equipment for practical lessons and demonstrations.
Liaise with the Food Technology teacher to ensure that requested supplies are suitably prepared and available.
Assist in the preparation and handling of food samples for educational purposes.
Ensure that the Food Technology department is a safe workplace and satisfies all current Occupational Health & Safety requirements.
Qualifications, Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
Possess or willingness to obtain a Working with Children Check for paid employment.
Certificate IV in Food Science and Technology is desirable, however not essential.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
A passion for science and food-related subjects is a plus.
