John Holland is delivering a 30 ML/d seawater desalination plant at Belmont South, NSW, to provide a weather-independent water supply to the community in the lower Hunter region. The project aims for a sustainable outcome and is part of Hunter Water's Carbon Neutral Strategy by 2035. This is a full-time permanent role based in Newcastle, NSW, with relocation support available.
About the Role
We are looking for a highly driven Electrical & Instrumentation Site Engineer for the Belmont Desal Project in Newcastle, NSW. This is a excellent opportunity for an Electrical Engineer looking to diversify their skillset.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Projects Engineering and Supervisory team to ensure timely delivery of programme requirements from a cost and time perspective.
- Significant input in managing project Quality Systems with respect to inspections, checklists, documentation, and record keeping.
- Planning & programming.
- Assist with procurement & supplier management.
- Ensure compliance of the works undertaken in relation to technical specifications, applicable legislation, approvals and standards with a focus on risk management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience working on an infrastructure project $100m+.
- Experience in Water Infrastructure is highly desirable.
- Experience in Building Services is highly desirable.
- Ability to work well with various stakeholders and build strong relationships.
- A can-do attitude with a hands-on approach.
