New Dawn Enterprises is seeking a Coordinated Access Manager to lead the set-up, management, promotion, adoption, and ongoing development of the Coordinated Access system in the Cape Breton Regional Municipality (CBRM).
Funded by the Reaching Home Community Entity, Coordinated Access brings together organizations serving individuals who are homeless or at risk of homelessness to achieve community objectives such as reducing chronic homelessness, homelessness overall, and inflows to homelessness.
The successful candidate will serve as secretariat to the Governance committee, working with stakeholders to examine and accomplish the objectives outlined in the Reaching Home Coordinated Access Guide.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate regular meetings for the local governance committee and ensure its representation includes relevant stakeholders
* Recommend new committee members and support timely decision-making to advance the program
* Ensure the committee has up-to-date Terms of Reference and clear outcomes, priority populations, and 12-month goals
HIFIS Implementation and Compliance
* Guarantee HIFIS implementation and compliance among primary users and build understanding and adoption among secondary users
* Create visual materials to aid broader understanding and adoption
System Map Creation and Maintenance
* Create a system map of services for homeless/at-risk populations
* Set up the map as precursor to future Coordinated Access Shared Resources Inventory
Data Management, Analysis, and Sharing
* Establish policies and protocols for data privacy and safety and respond to breaches to prevent future incidents
* Analyze and share data with stakeholders, municipality, and province to eliminate homelessness
Access Points, Protocols, and Shared Assessment Tools
* Work with the governance committee to establish access points and protocols and develop shared assessment tools
* Implement a coordinated system that meets local needs and achieves full potential of coordinated access
Requirements
* Relevant post-secondary education or equivalent experience
* Minimum three years in housing or community development/community engagement
* Experience working with vulnerable populations and advocating on their behalf
* Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and under pressure
* Exceptional attention to detail and verbal/written communication skills
