We are seeking a reliable and proficient tractor operator to slash the Greater Darwin road network during the wet season.
Tractor Operator Tasks Include:
* Must be able to proficiently operate a John Deere tractor, with at least two years' slashing experience
* You will be part of a team slashing the National Highway, Rural State Arterial Roads and Rural Secondary Roads in the Greater Darwin Region
* Perform basic pre-start maintenance on tractor
* Complete electronic pre-start and risk assessments on tablet
* Erect traffic control signage
* Must take responsibility for the slashing route to be completed daily
* Must have high attention to detail and provide high quality mowing
* Must be willing and able to work 12 hour shifts 6am - 6pm
* Team 1 mobilise each day from Berrimah
* Team 2 must be able to work away from home for 11 days straight and return home for 3 days each swing
* Accommodation and meals paid for
* Ongoing work for the entire wet season through to the end of April
Qualifications and employment experience
* Must have minimum 2 years' experience on a tractor
* Must have a valid NT drivers licence (LR / MR /HR is preferred)
* Must have a white card
* Traffic Control Tickets (desirable but not essential)
