Are you a forward-thinking finance professional with a passion for streamlining operations and driving business efficiency? We are seeking an experienced Management Accountant & Business Systems Specialist to play a pivotal role in shaping the financial health and operational effectiveness of our growing organisation.
In this dual-skill role with broad responsibilities, you'll blend your expertise in financial reporting and budgeting with your ability to optimise business systems. You'll work closely with the Management team to deliver data-driven insights, lead special projects, and implement tools and processes that support sustainable, scalable growth.
The business location for this role is in scenic, vibrant Hervey Bay, however, we are open to applications from professionals across South East Queensland (SEQ). Non-local candidates should be prepared to spend a minimum of 3 days per week working on-site for core hours, with 2 days per week offering flexible work-from-home options.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and analyse financial reports and forecasts for strategic decision-making
* Develop and monitor budgets to ensure financial sustainability and control
* Design and implement efficient policies, processes, and systems across operations
* Lead and drive the implementation of ERP system and automation initiatives
* Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs)
* Drive cross-functional collaboration and lead change initiatives
* Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks
* Plan for scalability and future-proofing of business operations
What You'll Bring:
* CA or CPA qualification (highly preferred); CIMA also valued
* Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or Business Administration
* Financial management, business systems and process improvement - proven experience in large organisations
* Expertise in ERP systems (e.g., MYOB, Odoo, Dynamics 365, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
* Strong data analysis and Excel skills
* Experience in automation, performance reporting, and compliance management
* Ability to influence stakeholders and lead operational change
