The Financial Services division, led by the Group CFO, partners with all areas of the Commonwealth Bank to provide financial control and specialist advice on financial management and strategy. This advice covers finance, audit, treasury, investor relations, security and property.

Retail Banking Services Finance acts as a partner to the Retail Banking Services business unit and other business units (our customers) to help them succeed with the Bank's goals and their business unit responsibilities. This is achieved by providing financial information and business advice to support our business units to build sustainable shareholder value.

Retail Banking Services Finance forms part of the Financial Services business unit whose vision is to make a difference on the things that matter. Providing business performance information, financial analysis and advice on the Everyday Banking Products portfolio to support operational and strategic decisions.

The Everyday Banking business is responsible for the transaction and deposit products to help customers manage their day‐to‐day finances, save for their goals, and act as a source of income for retirement. Everyday Banking is pivotal in establishing new customer relationships and provides a key funding source for the Group.

The team primarily provides this financial support for the Everyday Banking businesses & Leadership teams, GM Retail Products and the RBS CFO, however other stakeholders are also managed.

Your impact

* Preparation and input into the monthly performance reporting for Everyday Banking, including uplifting and enhancing our insights, processes and files
* Ongoing forecast and budget preparation for the Everyday Banking portfolio, providing driver-based analysis to management
* Prepare ad hoc analysis and input required by key stakeholders (e.g. CFO, GM Finance, EGM product, GM product) including information for the profit announcement/analyst briefings
* Assist with regular financial and business analysis of the product portfolio, including insights on business drivers, market dynamics and the competitive landscape where relevant
* Support our robust financial control process by preparing related deliverables, including journals and reconciliations
* Assist in providing financial input/financial modelling support on business assumptions for investment initiatives, product launches and major business decisions ensuring financial rigour is consistently applied
* Actively contribute to process improvement, simplification, productivity and AI initiatives across the RBS Retail Product team
* Be part of a customer‐focused, high performing team culture, including ongoing knowledge transfer of the quantitative and qualitative drivers of the portfolio

We're interested in hearing from people who have:

* Strong financial analysis skills honed in performance reporting, transaction services, audit or a related area
* High level proficiency in financial modelling and trend analysis
* Excellent verbal, written communication skills and critical thinking skills
* Strong teamwork capabilities / management of group tasks
* Proven ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously
* Graduate qualifications in a numerate discipline preferably finance, accounting, business or economics with a CA/CPA (completed or in progress) preferred
