Job Description:
The Yard Operations Specialist plays a vital role in supporting yard operations and delivering customer requirements. This involves conducting regular inspections, ensuring pipe preparation meets quality standards, and facilitating return processes within required timeframes.
This position requires coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure seamless loading and unloading of OCTG and associated goods. The Specialist will also be responsible for conducting yard inductions for visitors and drivers, verifying valid certifications, and escalating non-compliance matters to the relevant authority.
In addition to these duties, the Yard Operations Specialist will maintain the yard in a safe and environmentally sound manner, adhering to relevant legislation and industry regulations. This includes performing daily maintenance checks, reporting any faults to the relevant supervisor, and taking ownership of QHSE compliance for the site.
The Specialist will also conduct inventory inspections as per established criteria and report safety concerns and non-compliance matters to the relevant authorities as required. Effective communication of safety and work-related matters is essential for this role.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, applicants must possess a valid Australian working rights, a High Risk Work License (Class LF), and a current First Aid Certificate. A current Drivers License and Chain of Responsibility Level 1 certification are also required. Additionally, applicants should have minimum 2 years fork lift experience and practical knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
