Senior Mechanic Job Description
As a senior mechanic with the local government, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various plant and equipment. You will work closely with the principal mechanic to ensure that all tasks are completed accurately and on time.
Main Responsibilities:
* Maintenance and repair of plant and equipment
* Ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications and safety policies
* Managing service and maintenance records
* Leading a team or working independently
Key Skills and Qualifications:
* Demonstrated experience in fault diagnosis, repair, servicing, parts ordering, and maintenance of vehicles, fixed and mobile plant, and earthmoving equipment
* Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
* Effective time management and organisation skills
