Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Engineer I - Manufacturing to join our team at the Lowell, MA site. In this role, you will contribute to engineering efforts in manufacturing, process development, and NPI of semiconductor devices and assemblies.
This position involves hands-on process development for chip and wire assemblies in semiconductor and MMIC packages, supporting existing manufacturing processes and NPI prototypes.
Responsibilities:
1. Interface between Operations and Engineering to create and improve assembly processes, owning engineering responsibilities for assigned product groups.
2. Lead engineering efforts for NPI process development and qualification.
3. Conduct in-depth studies to identify opportunities for process improvements.
4. Understand industry standards such as MIL-PRF-19500, MIL-PRF-38534, IPC600, and others used in semiconductor assembly.
5. Create and update process documentation and support manufacturing training.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* B.S. in Mechanical or related engineering disciplines.
* At least 6 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
* Experience with semiconductor die attach and wire bonding processes.
* Familiarity with statistical methods like SPC, Gage R&R, DOE, 5 Why's, 6 Sigma, etc.
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
* Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask and learn quickly.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
